While you’re using the Swippro mobile application, we gather certain information about you. Moreover, you have the option to use the App to share information with other Swippro members, including your potential friends and network.

Swippro’s App and Sites operate globally, which means your information will be transmitted to our servers in Germany, irrespective of your country of residence. This Policy provides details on how we safeguard your personal data during overseas transfers, so we urge you to read it very attentively!

Who we are

Swippro newly created startup, we are the company behind Swippro mobile application that make ease of professional network growth(referred to in this Policy as “we” and “us”).

1. DATA COLLECTION

When you install the App and establish an account, we may gather certain information (“Registration Information”) about you, including:

Your name
Email address
Gender identity
Date of birth
Purpose of use (co-founding/partnership/advising/…) Professional background optional but could enhance the matching experience (Education/Work Experience/Skills/Industry)
Location
Information from third-party accounts (Google/Facebook/Linkedin/Apple) – this may include your email address and your public profile picture. In addition, you will need to set a password when you register your Account. Once registered, you can review and update this information at any time by simply logging into Swippro (except for your location, which, provided you’ve allowed Swippro to access your location in your device settings, is automatically updated based on your device’s location). It is your responsibility to ensure that your account details remain current.

Geolocation Information

If you have granted Swippro permission to access your device’s location settings, when you open Swippro application at the startup we may collect longitude and latitude, and may store your device’s coordinates. This enables us to provide you with specific features and identify your precise physical location. By doing so, we can display profiles of other Users who are in close proximity to you.

If you have previously allowed Swippro to access your location services but now wish to deactivate them, you can accomplish this using the following methods:

Disclamer

We strongly suggest that you consider what information about yourself you choose to share. It’s also advisable not to include email addresses, URLs, instant messaging details, phone numbers, full names or addresses, credit card details, national identity numbers, drivers’ licence details and other sensitive information that could be misused or exploited in your profile. When you share information about yourself or use the messaging function to converse with other Users.

2. USE OF YOUR DATA

Swippro aims to facilitate the expansion of your network. To achieve this, we employ a sophisticated matching algorithm that considers various aspects of your profile, including your bio, interests, skills, industry, and device coordinates. These coordinates are crucial for determining your proximity to other members.

By analyzing the data you provide, our matching algorithm predicts your compatibility with other users and generates personalized profile recommendations. This process allows you to connect with individuals who share common interests and goals, enhancing your networking opportunities.

3. Service Providers

We collaborate with a select group of reliable third parties to carry out specific tasks and offer services to us. Some of your public personal data may be shared with these third parties, but this is done solely for the purpose of executing these tasks and providing these services.   • Google Services: we use some google services to perform bugs and software and usability performances monitoring
  • Email providers: for email authentication we may use third-party email gateway for that.

4. SECURITY.

Swippro has taken substantial steps to ensure your personal information and other data is well-protected from theft, misuse, unauthorised access, exposure, and alteration. We employ judicious security precautions to preserve the confidentiality of your personal details.

However, it’s important to note that no Internet-based data transmission or website can ever be entirely invulnerable to security threats. We cannot unequivocally promise that our defenses against unauthorised access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches are infallible. Nevertheless, here are some valuable tips to bolster the security of your data:

Make it a habit to log out of your account after using it to prevent unintended access. Refrain from sharing your Swippro account password with anyone. Consider changing your password from time to time. In case you suspect that your password or account has been compromised, urgently request a change of password from the application.

Data collection : For a better experience in our systems we may collect your IP address to build our ratelimit firewall.

5. DATA LOCATIONS.

All of our servers are located in DE, EU. the hardware is located in third-party data centres but is owned by Swippro.
